Happy Fall, Y'all!
Nothing says Fall more than pumpkins, and one of my friends at work was telling me how she roasts pumpkin seeds for her class every year. I LOVED the idea and decided I would do that for my class this year... AFTER we did lots'a learning with pumpkins! That birthed my Pumpkin Math Activity Book. Students will measure their pumpkin's weight, find their pumpkin's height, circumference and radius, see how far their pumkin can roll then measure the distance, and test for buoyancy! THEN we will harvest the seeds! WOOHOO! Want a copy? Go get it HERE in my TPT store!
In other news, I was home sick this week (boo), and since I cannot sit in bed for more than a day, I created student reward cards using QR codes. In my class, students earn Bingo Dots for good behavior (they keep a little paper on their desk that I stamp). They can get Bingo Dots for sitting quietly, turning in their homework, getting paper signed, helping friends, helping me, etc. THEY. LOVE. BINGO. DOTS. The more Bingo Dots they earn, the better the prizes they can get. One of the prizes is a Lottery Ticket - some of you may have seen them on Pinterest, you print out a reward, cover it with tape, then paint over it with a mixture of silver craft paint and dish soap. Kids serioussssssssssly go crazy for them, HOWEVER, I was sick of painting the dang things! So since my class has a huge love for QR codes, I thought I'd go that route. Just print and scan. Easy as pie! Want a copy? Get it HERE in my TPT store!
Now... Want these for FREE? The first TEN people to follow my blog (if you don't already) post about my products on YOUR blog* AND pin them gets 'em! Just post the links below along with your email address. :) *If you don't have a blog, no worries, just pin 'em!
AGAIN, HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!

Monday Made It Part Deux
Linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics again for Monday Made It!
Toward the end of the last year, I got sick of wrong choices hogging the majority of my time and decided to put the spotlight on the student's making right choices. I started "Student of the Week" but also honored the "Most Improved", "Hardest Worker", the "Most Positive". You can download the adorable sheet I used for FREE here! I totally plan on continuing this honoring system because the kiddos LOVED it..... So imagine how happy I was when I came across these adorable "Star Student" chair covers while shopping Target's dollar bins... LOVE! I have a Rockstar theme going in my classroom this year AND our state assessment is called the STAAR test, so these just fit in perfectly with EVERYTHING I'm doing this year. My Monday Made It is inspired by the chair covers.

Frames: $1each
Glitter Sheets: $1.99 each
Glitter Star Accents: $2.99 each BUT 50% off!
Star Student Stickers: $2.99
Ohhhhhhhhh I just LOVE sparkly things.... My boys were teasing me that glitter is my new black! TRUTH!
Once I got home I traced my frames onto my glitter paper, drew up a little design and cut them out.
I then used spray adhesive to get the paper to stick to the frame. [Side note: when using spray adhesive, use it outside... I stayed inside and thought putting paper towels down would catch any extra spray. WRONG! I ended up with a very sticky kitchen counter...] Once they were dry, I put on my "Star Student" stickers, hot glued a few glittery stars and BAM! Adorable!! They're not perfect but they are SPARKLY and FUN! I think my 4th graders will dig them. :)
I decided to half a plastic sheet protector and hot glue it on the back so I can slide in the kiddos pics each week with ease. I can't wait to use these! Hope you can use them too! :)
